Robb Wells

Robb Wells was born on October 28, 1971 in Moncton, New Brunswick. Robb Wells is a Canadian actor and screenwriter best known for playing the role of Ricky on Trailer Park Boys. Wells spent much of his early youth playing soccer. By the time he was in high school, he was playing with some of Nova Scotia's best soccer players. With the help of his grade 9 and 10 English teachers Wells started to develop an artistic side. In fact, three of the main artistic forces behind Trailer Park Boys - Wells, John Paul Tremblay and Mike Clattenburg became friends while attending high school in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. After graduation Tremblay and Wells owned and operated a successful chain of pizza restaurants called J.R. Capone's while Clattenburg initially became involved with music. The three friends collaborated on a couple short films The Cart Boy in 1995 and One Last Shot in 1998. Those two short films featured Mike Smith and veteran actor John Dunsworth in roles which would soon be reprised. In 1998 the men collaborated again and made a mockumentary film called Trailer Park Boys featuring newcomers Patrick Roach, Mike Jackson, Cory Bowles, Lucy Decoutere and Jeanne Harrison. Mike Smith was a sound mixer for the production and did have an acting role in the initial movie. After the filming was complete they made a deal with Showcase to make Trailer Park Boys into a TV series with Mike Smith playing the new character of Bubbles. After seven seasons and two feature films, Wells and the Trailer Park Boys are legends of Canadian comedy. Wells is currently working on The Drunk and on Drugs Happy Funtime Hour along with Tremblay and Smith.
