"Layne had an extraordinary voice that is both beautiful, sad and haunting. It was different because its strength was in his voice. I saw Alice In Chains during one of his last concerts opening for Kiss. They played outside in the sun and they were impressive. I think it is a good way to remember someone who will be missed." - Billy Corgan (Smashing Pumpkins)
