John Paul Tremblay was born on January 1, 1968 in Halifax, Nova Scotia. John Paul Tremblay is a Canadian actor best known for playing the role of Julian on the Trailer Park Boys. As a youngster Tremblay lived on the same street as Robb Wells. Initially the two were not close, Tremblay thought Wells was a little dork and Wells thought Tremblay was the greasy bastard who owned a dirt bike. However, the two boys along with Mike Clattenburg became best friends while attending high school in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. After graduation Tremblay and Wells owned and operated a successful chain of pizza restaurants called J.R. Capone's while Clattenburg initially became involved with music. The three friends collaborated on a couple short films The Cart Boy in 1995 and One Last Shot in 1998. Those two short films featured Mike Smith and veteran actor John Dunsworth in roles which would soon be reprised. In 1998 the men collaborated again and made a mockumentary film called Trailer Park Boys featuring newcomers Patrick Roach, Mike Jackson, Cory Bowles, Lucy Decoutere and Jeanne Harrison. Mike Smith was a sound mixer for the production and did have an acting role in the initial movie. After the filming was complete they made a deal with Showcase to make Trailer Park Boys into a TV series with Mike Smith playing the new character of Bubbles. After seven seasons and two feature films, Tremblay and the Trailer Park Boys are legends of Canadian comedy. Tremblay is currently working on The Drunk and on Drugs Happy Funtime Hour along with Wells and Smith.
