Duane Allman

Howard Duane Allman was born on November 20, 1946 in Nashville, Tennessee and died on October 29, 1971 in Macon, Georgia. Duane Allman was an American lead guitarist, sought-after session musician and co-founder of the Southern rock group the Allman Brothers Band. He is noted for: his mastery of the slide guitar, his formidable improvisational skills and his intensity and soulfulness on “standard” lead and rhythm guitar in a variety of styles. "Skydog" had an extremely short career, but remains one of the greatest guitarists of all time. R.I.P.
