Yes, that price is correct. $50 - gets you a professionally drawn & painted caricature delivered via email as a high resolution file. The caricature will be drawn from your photo and specifications. Our caricatures are hand drawn & painted and then scanned into a high resolution file. We are "old school" caricature artists - our talent does not rely on the magic of PHOTOSHOP. A power outage will not cause us to curl into a fetal ball or gently weep in a corner of our studio....just get us some candles!
How Long Before I See The Caricature?
Your order will be put into our artist's queue on a first come first served basis. Typically, the caricature will arrive via email within 7-10 "business days"; however, it can take longer depending on the time of year and the size of your caricature. Our pool of highly talented caricature artists is limited and their dance cards fill quickly. The point is to order and be patient. If you can't wait that long we recommend going to the mall and ordering one from the local artist. The drawback is the price will likely be higher and more importantly the caliber of caricature will not compare to ours. Good things come to those who wait. Our artists book up fast so order now and avoid delays!
I Have The High Resolution JPG File..Now What
We provide the caricature via email as a high resolution file / scan of the artwork. If you want a poster for yourself simply transfer the file to a cd and take down to the local digital printing company. In fact, many digital printing companies allow you to upload the file for printing directly from your computer - Kinko's, Staples, Office Depot, EPingo...
NOTE: We backup and store your caricature file on harddrives...so do not panic if you accidentally delete the caricature file we emailed you.
Caricature Submission Guides
Your submitted photo file(s) should clearly show the face and be in focus. Make sure the lighting and background doesn't obscure any features. Whatever expression the subject wears will be the expression rendered, therefore you may want to send us smiling photos. Also please inform us of any features that don't appear on the photos (freckles, scars, eye color, hair color) that you want included in the caricature....or features that you do not want to appear (double chins, fading hairline). Finally, let us know what you want to be wearing, body type and position - for example - "I am skinny and want to be posed swinging from a vine in a leopard skin / Tarzan style". If you want a detailed object included in your caricature - e.g. car, boat, plane, pet, building etc. - please send photos of this as well and count it as an additional person.
